Antares is the name given to a binary system that consists of a red giant primary star and a small yellow secondary. The system supports a total of nine planets, with four orbiting the primary and five revolving around the secondary. None of the worlds is inhabited.
Phentora, a grain that grows only on Antares B III, is used in the distillation and production of Antarean brandy. A favorite beverage on many Federation worlds, it is known for its pale blue color.
