It can be used to power force fields for between 6-12 hours depending on the type and intensity of the field. They can also be combined to link in to primary systems, for example if four are hooked into the Life support system then those batteries can power Life Support for two hours, allowing time for critical repairs to be undertaken or for a fusion power generator to be hooked up/<br /> <br /> The Emergency Power Kit is a self contained sarium krellide battery with all of the necessary connectors to hook up to most standard Federation devices. Most commonly used to provide power to doors and console stations during periods of power loss.
