Even aboard space stations and larger ships, the auditorium is often small compared to planetary-based contemporaries. Still, it is the place to obtain the best acoustics. Auditoriums are used for both duty-related and recreational activities, serving as classrooms, lecture halls, and large-group meeting rooms, as well as hosting concerts, plays, operas, and other venues of entertainment.
