Booster Modulator

The booster modulator is a component of a Federation starship's deflector system, it is used to modulate the deflector dish to produce a deflector shield whilst a ship is at warp. This, coupled with a starship's subspace field frequency provides a ship's Warp signature.

In combination with the induction stabilizers, the booster can be used to imprint a Federation warp signature on enemy ships of objects.
